Theme 01:

Effloresce

A collection of meditations on the complex nature of death: the joy and the sadness, the beauty and the decay, and the role of death as part of the process of creation. As winter comes to a close, we make way for new growth—we do our spring cleaning, we pull overgrown vegetation and let the soil rest. It can be tempting to imagine we only have one death in this life, when actually we have so many. Our cells turning over, ourselves turning over, relationships coming to an end. Letting go of old patterns so new habits and perspectives can grow in.

Effloresce as a body of work represents the ongoing process of mining shadow for life.

Theme 02:

In Animant Dialogue

The genius loci whispers through objects that bear witness, their surfaces etched with stories only touch can read. In the sacred act of mark-making, we enter into conversation with the voiceless—stones that remember rainfall, walls that hold echoes, earth that cradles forgotten names. Here, poems lie buried like ancient seeds, waiting to be unearthed through the alchemy of reduction, where each deliberate subtraction reveals the luminous skeleton of place, the irreducible essence that makes a landscape breathe with its own particular soul.
